We are proud to be part of a community that supports and encourages us as we have grown and developed along with our neighbors. We provide the most up to date hospice care methods and our staff participates in the Federal QAPI (Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement program), which measures hospice quality and performance. Our new award winning Karen Ann Quinlan Home for Hospice located in Fredon, NJ is the region’s only freestanding facility of its kind.
Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice has earned 5 stars as partners in the We Honor Veterans Program. This program equips hospices to take care of veterans.
Who chooses your hospice care?
YOU DO! According to Medicare and Medicaid a patient is free to choose any qualified agency offering him or her services. Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice is proud to be the preferred provider for the Atlantic Health Care System in our area of service.
The last days or months of life are precious and should be lived with dignity, in peace and pain free comfort. Our team makes this quality of life opportunity by providing support and palliative care during the final stage of life, but only when you, the patient and the doctor decide together to enter into hospice care.
Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice treats the person, not the disease, and care can be given in the patient’s home, hospital, nursing home, private facility, or our Karen Ann Quinlan Home for Hospice; however most hospice care is given in the patient’s own home.
Our professional team of medical doctors, registered nurses, certified health aides, social workers, counselors, pharmacists, and trained volunteers make available medical, emotional, personal and spiritual care for the patient and family during this difficult time.
As your local and independent hospice we are proud to be the preferred provider for our service area of the Atlantic Health Care System.
We are a non-profit organization licensed by both the New Jersey Department of Health and the Pennsylvania Department of Health and we are Medicare and Medicaid Approved. The Community Health Accreditation Program (CHAP) also accredits the hospice.
The Hospice accepts most insurance and The Karen Ann Quinlan Memorial Foundation assures all are served regardless of the ability to pay.
